Hello, thank you for this forum. Today I was driving and suddenly my steering wheel stopped turning and dashboard started showing “battery” sign. What should I do?

Probably have it towed to a good mechanic for diagnosis. You've left out any information which might help people here take a shot at the problem.

alternator probably failed, or a wire came loose. Get your battery + alternator load tested.
