All,
I have a 2007 Corvette. I have a small power steering fluid leak. Is stop leak recommended? Can I use it and replace with regular fluid if needed? Will it cause any long term issues?
you bought a high end performance car, and you want to cheap out on a PS leak?
Stop leaks generally aren't the best choice to fix leaks. If it's a junk car you don't care about, that's one thing, I'd assume a 2007 'vette is not a junk car to you. You should try to figure out what is leaking before putting it in the system. It could be a stupid as cracked hoses. They've been near your V8 engine for 14 years and that heat breaks down the rubber. Look at the power steering pump, the cooler for the power steering, if it has one, and near the steering rack for signs of the leak, and replace what you find.
