My car is Subaru Impreza 2009 1.5R Manual. I got power steering fluid change this Thursday. The power steering pump was fine before the fluid change.
After the change the car started to jerk and vibrate when turning the steering wheel.
At first I thought that there was air in the system and it will go away. But it did not go away.
I'll go to the service on Monday to get it checked, but I am prety sure that they will tell me that the pump will need to be replaced.
Can fluid change really kill my PS pump? It was working just fine before that. I'm pretty sure that they messed something up and will hide it away
Well one you got to make sure you use the correct fluid. The only thing is if you changed it and while you were changing it it was running and it was low on fluid. Yeah that can eat it up fast
