Hi Scotty

Looking of buying a Subaru Impreza 2013. Checked some reviews and found the major owners stated that they have to replace an engine or CVT transmission. They complaint about excessive oil comsuption.

Is it a bad car to buy?

Subaru Impreza Hatchback
Year: 2013

Transmission: Manual

Odometer: 43K Kilometers

Engine: 4cyl / 2 L
Drive type: AWD

Cheers mate! Bless your heart! {black}

That was manufactured during a time period when Subaru engines had oil burning problems due to defective piston rings. (Similar to Toyota's problem with their 2AZ-FE engine.) I'd pass.

I'm wondering if they Toyota and Subaru both sourced their materials from the source during that period.

Thx mate! {black}

Not Subaru’s best effort, but not a bad car.  It has the manual, so that makes it a little more interesting. If a mechanic inspection doesn’t find any problems it could be OK.  But don’t overpay.
