Have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with a CVT.

At what interval should the CVT fluid and front and rear Differential oil be changed and have the dealer do it or independent Japanese car repair shop?

Take it to a tranny shop.

Don’t listen to Subaru with their “lifetime fluid” claim for the transmission.  Subaru CVTs in the past have been the weak link of the vehicle so I would make it a point to change the fluid every 30,000 miles.  Realize this may void your powertrain warranty if you do - but it’s your vehicle and Subaru probably wouldn’t mind you buying another one after the warranty expires.  I would personally take that risk, especially if I intend to keep the vehicle for as long as possible and put well past 100,000 miles on it.  Also, it’s a good idea to not tow with the vehicle or take it off-roading.  Don’t drive like a maniac (it’s not a sports car).  You do all these things, and you improve your chances of the transmission lasting longer.

FYI - The fluid used in the transmission and the differentials is completely different.  CVTs use special transmission fluid and differentials generally use something like 85w90 hypoid gear oil.
