How good are the modern Suzuki and Mitsubishi cars I know they are a lot less reliable than Mazda and Subaru but are they better or worse than modern Fords and Chevys

Suzuki is no longer selling consumer vehicles in North America.  Mitsubishi is barely around.  If I had no choice but to choose between a Mitsubishi product or a Ford/GM product and (this is very important) was going to get rid of the vehicle before 100,000 miles I would go with the Mitsubishi.  That’s how bad Ford/GM are.

Well Suzuki pulled out in the U.S. decade ago. Mitsubishi is still a crappy car company but they're somewhat better than modern Ford and Chevy with turbo engines for sure but Mitsubishi still uses those horrid Jatco CVT's that will guaranteed to fall apart after 100k miles unless if it's a stick shift or have tranny fluid changed very frequently.

With Suzuki, I think some are decent.

Look at the Suzuki models that Toyota rebranded to be Toyota. Toyota wouldn’t want to tarnish its name by intentionally selling a bad car.

Or the models that Toyota models that Suzuki rebranded to be Suzuki. The RAV4 has/had a Suzuki counterpart.

Toyota owns about 4-5% of Suzuki.

As for Mitsubishi, it is no longer the Mitsubishi we need, but a rebadging or rebranding of Renault/Nissan models. Not a big fan of that marriage.
