Scotty, Would I be able to safely pull my boat with a 2.7 4cyl Toyota Tacoma. That truck is rated to pull 3500lbs. My boat package (boat,motor, & trailer) weighs in at 2500lbs. Does this give me enough of a cushion to pull safely including braking, boat ramps, and highway driving? Thank You.

It'll pull it. But the powertrain won't last long.
Look in your owner's manual, it should list the towing capacities.
Sorry, looking at making a purchase of a 2020-2021 2.7 4 cylinder Toyota Tacoma with 6 speed automatic transmission. Tow rating for that vehicle is 3500lbs. My boat rig fully loaded is 2500lbs. It should be ok according to the rating, was just wondering if the 1000lb cushion is enough for braking, boat ramps, highway driving etc. Thanks.
