I've had codes P1815, P1759 & P1769 on an 03 350z AT. From researching online, when the last 2 pop out, that either means the solenoids are bad or the TCM has internal broken connections to them. Since the 03 350z & the 03 FX35 have the TCM on the same transmission valve body assembly (3170592X3E), I was wondering if I could just swap a used valve body with TCM (if the donor doesn't have broken internal connections)? Does the TCM need reprogramming? Thanks.
It would need reprogramming me I go by the model number on the computer itself cuz the model number has to match if it doesn't it won't work
As said above it would need to be reprogrammed. Since the fx does not use a electronically controlled transfer case it may be able to start and drive for the sake of verifying the problem you had prior is resolved though. I don’t believe that transfer is controlled or truly referenced to the tcm but I’m not 100 percent sure on that one
