Hey Scotty, I’ve been meaning to ask you about this for awhile. I drive a 2010 Volkswagen CC (2.0L 4-Cylinder Turbocharged engine, automatic transmission) and I bought it privately on January 1, 2020. Whenever I put the car in drive and leave my foot off the gas pedal it will kick forward slightly, then kick again, then slowly creek up like a regular automatic car in drive. The same thing happens in reverse and it effects my acceleration whenever I press the gas it will kick me then start going. What do you think is wrong with the car and is it a cheap fix?
I thought it was the transmission at first but then I realized that it does not kick when I hit a new gear
@ivanramirez205
Does it shift gears smoothly? Do the RPMs fluctuate as it "kicks" forward like that? How is the throttle when you drive, is it smooth? Do the RPMs fluctuate when in park?
@RazmigBartassian
When it kicks the RPM’s do go up a little bit. The gears do transition smoothly there is no kick when going from one gear to another
Lucky you. Your question was answered in Scotty's latest video! (at the very end)

That could be a lot of things. Check the basics Air filter, spark plugs, test the battery and alternator and have the fuel system pressure tested. If it keeps happening clean the throttle body and if all that doesn't fix it it could be your engine. Probably best taking it to a mechanic you trust after checking the basics
Check oil lvls not enough oil can cause bad gear changes and jumping forward backwards ect
