Hey Scotty, my name is Christopher and I have a 1998 z24 Chevy cavalier 5-speed and my car is in theft mode ! I’ve replaced the engine coils , spark plugs and fuses , the fuel pump turns on , it cranks but won’t start, if I spray starter fluid in the air box it will start but then dies out! All the lights on the dash are on, I scanned it with an obd2 scanner and it says no faulty codes . I bought a key fob but don’t no how to program it and the original radio didn’t come with the car ! Could u tell me what u think would get the car to start ? Thanks, Christopher

If it briefly starts with starting fluid you have spark but no fuel delivery. How old is the fuel filter? Check fuel pressure and fuel injectors.

A generic OBD2 scanner will not show manufacturer-specific codes, you need a GM Tech2 or a professional grade fancy scan tool for that. A good locksmith should be able to join your key fob to the car.
