Toyota Tacoma

I’ve been thinking about buying a late model Toyota Tacoma but everyone I’ve looked at have been built in Mexico. Are there build quality issues with these ones or are they just that good that it doesn’t matter where they are built?  Are these still the best light trucks to buy?

thanks,

Marc

It is Toyota quality but made in Mexico so I wouldn't worry about it at all and it's not like they moved there just yesterday morning. Just like Toyota making Camry in the U.S. The link below also is this same question and Scotty answers it:

Used to worry about it too, but I've had 2 Silverado's made in Mexico and haven't had any issues. And my '22 Taco (made in Mexico) is coming at the end of the month. And being a Toyota, not a concern for me anymore.

Quality is definitely lower in Mexico. But  mexico made Taco is probably a little better of a vehicle than a Ranger or Frontier - if you're willing to pay the premium.

My 2020 Ford Fusion was made in Mexico, and I haven't had any quality control issues as of yet.
