Hi there is harry here a I'm having trouble with my car there is no electrical power to my car the battery is brand new but still nothing no dash lights nothing the car model is a 1979 datsun stanza sss 1800j if you can help me thanks
Is the main fuse good?
Hi yes al the fuses are al good but there appear to be no power going to the fuse box the engine won't won't crank and no power what so ever not even the room lamp
Check the wires from the battery to the fuse box. You may have a simple connection issue.
you need to get your alternator tested. Do you know the voltage with the engine running?
Hi can't tell the voltages because the engine won't crank nothing is happening to the when I try to start iet but will take out the alternator and get it tested and will kom back to you thanks very much
ok you didn't mention it doesn't start. Try boosting it off another vehicle. Also see the FAQ.
Hi good day yes it is the alternators I'm getting a new one now and a few of the cables going to the fuse box are burn but thank for your help
You are not getting power from the battery to your fuse panel, or you have no ground somewhere. If the battery is good, check the main grounding wire between the battery and the frame and the engine and the body.
