Hi everyone! This is my first post and I did the reading required for new comers. I've looked at the video catalog and searched on this website briefly to see if my issue was experienced by anyone else. I haven't found the relevant data so I decided to post this.
I have a 2018 Ford Fiesta SE, automatic with 55+K miles. I installed Sealight LEDs for my low beam lights only because I found out how good LEDs look over halogen. After some time of nice use, one went out. I bought a new pair of Cougar Motors LEDs for the low beam lights and neither worked after being installed, replacing the Sealight LEDs. I thought it might be the bulbs but I re-installed the halogens (that never went out) and saw that they didn't come on either. Both sides. I placed the one working Sealight LED on each side and still no lighting. High beam, signals, everything in the rear works in regard to exterior lighting. It is just the low beams that no longer work at all ever since I took the Sealight LEDs off to place the Cougar Motors brand in.
I checked my car's manual for all the fuses and relays that might have some connection to head lamps. All charts and lists of relays and fuses reference either fog light, high beam or something completely unrelated. Nowhere in my guide is there a mentioning of a low beam to check that fuse. However, I decided to check the fuses that dealt with high beam and fog lights (even though I have no fog lights). None of them were burned, and I tested those fuses for continuity with a small yellow device with two protruding terminals. I replaced the fuses regardless but no luck on getting my low beams back online.
I'm trying to avoid a visit to the dealer badly. Any ideas?
Did you check to see if you have power at the headlight?
