Hey Scotty, Thinking of buying a 2016 Colorado 4x4 with 158,000 miles one owner on a lot for $16,500. Truck is in great shape with a Truck cap. Truck was bought at auction from the selier & has a car fax with a clean title. Truck was in a minor accident & was repaired. No other services performed. Has a few dents and scratches. Trucks in great shape other wise. Would this be a good buy or should I run?
I personally think that's way to much for a wrecked truck with that many miles on it.
Scotty says "don't poo poo the Colorado". Runs fine at 200k miles. Just don't pay too much.

Scotty was referring to the older (1st Gen) Colorado which was MY 2004-2012 and that one also had manual (Aisin) transmission. But OP is talking about 2016 MY (2nd year of current Gen).
Thanks. I didn't hear Scotty mention the year in the video.
Not at $16,500. The Colorado is that type of truck that you only buy if you can get it dirt cheap. Colorado's aren't that good but if you can get them for next to nothing they are good enough. For $16,500 you could get so much better than that. You could probably even get an older Tacoma for that which would be the way to go.
Definitely agree with the 2 answers above. GM is on a dive as a company. (As are the rest of the American manufacturers in my opinion.) I’m honestly surprised it made it to 150k mi.
Please do some on line research about the Colorado. They are a nightmare of poor design and extremely poor quality.
I would pass on it, esp. with that mileage and if it’s going to be your primary vehicle. The newer Colorados are not built as well, and GM quality overall not what it used to be.
Nah I'd pass
