2007 Lexus Ls460 Knock Sensors

Hi! I took my car to the mechanic the other day because the engine light came on briefly. The computer showed no error codes, but I left it in the shop regardless so that they could check the engine and transmission. It turns out the knock sensors need to be replaced, and they're wanting to charge me $324 per sensor, not including the installation fees. Are those sensors something I need to change right away, and am I being ripped off royally?

Appreciate your answers!

I have had customers drive those things years that way and I run perfectly fine as long as it runs okay you really don't need the knock.but it does cost a fortune to replace them because the intake manifold has to be removed off the engine it is a gigantic expensive job if it runs okay leave it alone

That's what killed my LS460.

I didn't want to spend the money on the sensors and not long after it started running like crap. Sold it soon after that.

Price for the job was basically $2000. No way.
