Scotty!
I have a 2008 F150 XL with the 4.2L engine and a manual transmission. I just crossed over 255K miles and the check engine light came on for third cylinder misfire. I replaced all the sparkplugs and wires and the code went away. I just took it out for a 10 mile drive and it started running rough again and the check engine light came back on with the same code. Any ideas?

If the coil doesn’t fix it, see here for the other potential causes -

Thank you everyone! It was the coil pack. Once that was replaced, it ran better than ever! I appreciate the support
Great! Thanks for reporting back with the fix.
