Hello All,
I have owned a 2006 Acura TL, and loved it. Never had issues but traded it in when it hit 200K miles for an RDX to have a better practical vehicle, growing family and dogs. I have always loved the 2007/2008 TL Type S and decided I'd buy one if I came across it in the kinetic blue. As you can imagine, I'm waiting for the market to calm down before buying a "fun" car. Anyone have suggestions for things to look for or avoid? Obviously timing belt, and water pump would be a good item but just curious on people's thoughts. The TL I had had the smaller 3.2 V6. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
It is the same model (but different year) you had. Isn't it? They are well made cars and do not have the previous generation issues with the AT.
Yes, it is but it is a different engine. The TL I had was a 3.2 V6, where as the Type S has a 3.5. I also know there's a few other differences but just wanted to get outside opinions on anything to look for. The TL I had was great, and I didn't have any issues with the transmission.
