Thoughts on 2012 Chevy 1500 4.8 liter V8 RWD. Good or bad make and model. Transmission fluid is leaking in the front passenger side of the engine bay. Any solutions?
Recently purchased a 2012 Chevy 1500 4.8 liter V8 RWD pickup. As stated above the tranny fluid was leaking from somewhere in the passenger side of the engine bay. It looked like it was coming from the radiator area but the mechanic has not been able to recreate the leak or pinpoint where it came from. Is this a good decent truck overall or should I move on from it? Thanks for any responses.

the transmission cooler lines are leaking. Inspect and investigate. Make sure the locking clip is present. If the lines are worn out or damaged replace them.
Oh and find a REAL mechanic.
