Honda Odyssey 04.
So I demolished a deer today at 55 mph. Not great. Didn't even get a chance to hit the brake. I took some photos - not the greatest quality since it's late at night.
Is there any chance this is repairable? And, moreover, could I do it myself?
Obviously the front metal bar was pushed in a good ways. Hood crumpled, Radiator cracked, and I'm guessing fans need replaced too. Bumper is good (somehow), and the engine runs fine - it's almost crazy that in needing to drive 10 minutes to the closest town that you wouldn't even know the front end was f*cked up.

Before spending money, first check to see if the subframe is bent or not. Of it is damaged, not worth fixing.
I'll have to check with light, but based on the what I see (and that the bumper has no damage whatsoever), I believe the subframe is totally fine.
Yes -

Use this event as a good excuse to move on from any future strange noises, behaviours, vibrations, etc which may haunt your sanity.
Again, don’t forget, it’s deer meat for dinner!
It looks badly bent.
100% my insurance company would deem it a total loss.
It's probably no longer safe.
It's amazing what a deer impact can do. A friend hit a deer at 35 MPH with a 68 Catalina and it totally demolished the front end. And that's a 5000 pound car!
Let the insurance company total it and get the money.
It appears that the radiator, fans and core support are damaged but replaceable.
Someone with experience doing collision repair can probably fix it, but it will cost more than the car is worth for sure. Bad luck.
Old Guys Rule, A chuck Barris "Ratfink"? so cool!
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, not Chuck. But thanks.
Yeah that's right. Had one of his T shirts back in the stone age
Both were true legends from the golden age of cars.
