I’m curious to know your thoughts about store brand (Meijer, Amazon, Walmart, etc) oils. As long as they’re GF-6A, they should. E fine in my 2.3L Ecoboost, right?
You can use whatever brand you want as long as the oil is certified to work with your engine.
Any brand is fine as long as it meets the viscosity and the Ford specifications (look in owner’s manual it will usually list the specifications it has to meet and then look on the bottle for that).
Meijer, Amazon, Walmart are all made by the same company.
I often use them. Never had any issues.

i like your answer, informative and well written
Realise that the stores don't make the oil themselves. They buy it from major manufacturers. So it's same oil you see on the shelves with a "Mobil 1" brand or whatever, just in a different bottle with their store logo on the label. If it has the certification your manual calls for, then that's all you need to worry about.
Save yourself some money too!
