Hi from Germany!
i found a Suzuki Vitara 2015 1.6 gasoline 120hp manual transmission front wheels drive. It has about 70.000 km on, one previous driver and it looks very good.
i hear good things about Vitaras and it also looks like a comfortable little suv. Im about 1.93m tall and i often have problems with legroom. I drive a lot every day.
what do you think?
Those are great, some of the best cool Crossovers! Super reliable and durable when serviced regularly.
They're mechanically simple and conservative, and if you like its rugged crossover "vibe" then it might be the perfect car.
Its simplicity and ruggedness does come at the cost of a purely practical interior and outdated equipment.
With that being said, you can install aftermarket infotainment, and the interior is still comfortable and very nice.
As much as the 1.6L engine can be reliable and last for ages, there other powertrains that are also good.
A different notable powertrain, is the "BoosterJet AllGrip 1.4T" with the AISIN TF-71/3SC automatic is by another great powertrain - very punchy, very torquey, very lively, very capable and lasts for a long time - But it's high-tech, complex, and expensive to repair.
Also the 1.0T and 6AT, is decent - is also decent, but usually they're inexpensive.
BUT, if you're looking for pure Japanese reliability, there's no doubt that the 1.6 NA + MT reigns supreme.
As far as ownership, this car is reliable but good and frequent maintenance is an absolute requirement.
Remember to replace the engine oil every 7.5k-10k km (5k-7.5k miles), infrequent service causes oil consumption,
adjust valve clearances and replace spark plugs every 30k miles (18.75k miles),
And every 45k km (28k miles) you'll need to replace the coolant.
With that maintenance, these can last 250k-350k km (150k - 220k miles) quite easily, they are great cars.
If it's in your budget, and you like rugged but useable and comfortable crossovers, go ahead it's a beautiful, joyful car.
Just remember to get it inspected by a mechanic who is familiar with them!
Would love to hear your experience and opinions about it.
Thanks a lot for this helpful comment, i appreciate it!
I’m looking for the right car to finally replace my tiny toyota aygo and i think the vitara will be the one. Looks really good.
They are decent cars with manual transmission. If you can find parts in your area and mechanics know how to work on them, go ahead.
