Hey Scotty,
I have a 2003 Mazda Protege5 with a DOHC 2.0L 4CYL Engine. Usually, after the engine warms up, I can start to hear a ticking noise whenever the engine is under load. It usually occurs in the 2000-4500 rpm band. I was wondering what you think it might be. https://youtu.be/yCiK1k6-bWo
