Hello Scotty ! The engine of my car is with timing chain . The car is near 170 000 miles , and im afraid of the condition on my timing chain . My question is , is the timing chain start to make any signs or noises , when is necessary to replace or could be broken just like that without nothing . The car is " Toyota avensis 1.8 petrol (2003) " Thank you !

It makes noise and in most cases, trips some codes, so you don't need to worry about changing without symptoms. As long as you change the oil and filter frequently, it should last the lifetime of the engine unless it has not been made correctly.
