Timing chain/belt

Topic starter

Hi, so it says my 2004 Honda Accord lx is suppose to have a timing chain but I don't see it. I do see the rubber belt. Is it possible they swapped the chain for the belt? Or am I looking in the wrong spot which I don't believe I am. I'm looking right on the side of the engine and I could almost be certain it's a belt. If it is a belt is it possible to change it back to a chain?

That engine (2.4L I4 K24A4) should have a timing chain only.

See below:

It is located behind the timing cover - you can’t see it without removing the cover first.

Ohh ok thank you maybe that's why I'm not seeing the chain haha.

The belts you are looking at might be the power steering, or alternator.

Can you post a link to a photo or video? And a picture of your body style for the car?

I think the first comment explained why I'm not seeing it. But I appreciate your response. I can still post just to be sure.
