Hey guys today I was driving my car around 40 mph my traction light and low tire pressure lights came on. I parked my car in the side of the road and turned it off. I hold the traction control button for 10 seconds before starting the car. Then I drive the car on highway for 60 to 80 mph and nothing showed up later on.
The car ran smooth
Do u think it has something to do with the heat it was 100 F outside ? Or my abs sensore are acting up
I was driving my moms car today it is an hundayi sonata 2014.
Do u know what else it could be ? Coze I am stuck with this car for another 10 months and i wanna fix it right now so my mom doesn't have any issues.
Check tire pressures, tire condition, electrical connectors that go to your wheel speed sensors - any of these could cause the problem. If they check out, and it happens again, a good scan tool should identify the problem.
I checked the tire and tire pressure also used the scan tool no code showed up any other suggestions?
The car has a speed sensor on the hubs of every wheel - that's how it knows to do it's ABS and traction control thing. I would look at those, and the connectors to them. Otherwise, it's a computer control module anomaly, and you''d have to have a pretty high end scan tool to see what the sensors and control module are doing. But it could just be a hiccup - lots of cars have driven lots of miles without ABS or traction control.
I am gonna take the car to the mechanic on the safe side see what going on coze ur right about the scan tool part.
Also do you think it might be an indication I need new tires ?
The car has has 45000miles on it and she hast changed the tires. I went to mechanic for inspection in November he said they are in good shape?
Tires are from solras
If the tires were OK last winter, they are most likely OK now, but the mechanic can check them. Scotty (and others) have good videos about tires, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgFCtwcOcVo
