Can the tire rating affect ride quality?

Hi, I've got a lexus gs 350 2016 rwd.

It takes both 235 45r18  V and Y rated tires. Wanted to find out if the tire rating affects how smooth or rough the car rides?  And which between the two will ride smoother.

Thank you.

235 45r18

With a 45 profile, you can forget about smooth ride quality..

good catch. Those are very low profile tires. You're going to feel everything.

lower speed rated tires like H vs the V they had on their car it rode smoother

maybe they're right

Both Y & V are insanely high speeds. You're not going to be going to be going 150mph are you?

H is good enough for most people.

Okay, thank you

Not really.

The "speed rating" is meant to indicate the maximum speed you can drive on the tire. Not the ride.

The faster the rating, the more the tire has be able to resist things like heat buildup. It might have a small (probably imperceptible) effect on the ride. Especially tires that are so close (V & Y)

@imperator thank you.
I Google it and some posts and forums had posts where people said when the got lower speed rated tires like H vs the V they had on their car it rode smoother
It may be all in their heads lol
That's why I had to ask her where more knowledgeable people can answer
Thank you again.

You could try Touring style tires over performance don't know how much more it will help.
