I recently purchase a 2012 RAV4 with 110k Miles. It started making a grumbling/shudder sound when I accelerate the vehicle to around 40MPH. At lower and higher speeds it's no issue. Seems to be happening when it changes from 3rd to 4th gear. I have seen other RAV4 owners experiencing the same issue but limited consensus on what the actual change is.
Many folks are stating to change the transmission fluid and filter, but I wanted to see if you had any experience with this issue. Would like this noise to GO AWAY! Have you worked on any RAV4's between 2006-12 with this issue?

Oh, I've seen that happen to lots of it. Unfortunately it's usually internal aware of the transmission. Dude change the fluid and filter and pray it goes away but it's not. My advice is to live with it because rebuilding those transmissions cost a fortune and they can often still run perfectly fine with that minor glitch
