Tire size question (AWD vehicle)

Recently purchased a 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport 4WD V6.  Vehicle was inspected thoroughly before purchase and is turning out to be a great vehicle.  Something that was missed, however, is the front and rear tires are not identical.  the 2 front are Toyo and the rear 2 are Bridgestone.  The tread patterns are almost identical and the tire sizes and ratings are all the same (245/55-19 103S).  I've read where AWD vehicles need the EXACT same tires and treads or problems can arise. The vehicle drives extremely well and is very quiet and smooth.   I recently changed all fluids (rear, trans case, transmission) and the old fluid looked brand new with no metal filings etc.  Thoughts?  Should i replace all 4 expensive tires, or is this really not an issue, just tire companies looking to make more money

If the tires are well matched, then you're probably fine for now, but buy a set of 4 when it comes time.

Problems will occur if one set will wear faster than other and you won't replace it. As long as depth of treads looks same, I do not see any problem. Btw, how old are tyres?

Thanks for the replies.  not sure age of the tires.  They are all in great shape, no cracking etc.

You could jack the car up and measure the circumference of the tires. There will be a manufacturer specification as to how close in size they need to be.
