Sir Scotty, I'm humbly requesting please read this long detail, I know its time consuming, but I think after God, you're the only one who can help me, hopefully.
- Nissan Quest 2009 3.5S V6. VIN: 5N1BV28U49N104483, 159K mileage. I bought almost 4 years ago. After 6 months, TPMS warning light ON. Then I went to the garage they told me the tire was minor punctured. Tire puncture was fixed and the light was off. Ever since that day, mostly this TPMS light ON. I was putting air in all the tires and driving car after speed of 15 miles, this light would turn off.
- Engine check light would also come on. I would go to the garage, they said the engine oil needs to be changed. Then they changed the engine oil with full synthetic oil and oil filter. The car would run only maximum 1,200 miles.
- Then whenever this Engine Check light would come on they would change the engine oil and also change one or two parts. Im also including the details about how many parts they have changed.
a) front right central arm assembly changed with new.
b) Engine air filter changed
c) Bank 1 and 2 front and rear all 4 Air Fuel Ratio/Oxygen sensors changed with new (denso)
d) Air Cabin both filters changed
e) Rear both disc, break pads, bearing changed with new (I told then car is using up a lot fuel)
f) Again all 6 ignition coil changed with new denso
g) Spark plugs they changed with new (iridium denso)
h) Both wall cover gasket changed
i) When they were changing spark plugs they put new intake gasket.
j) Once I was driving in rain, engine check light came on, with Slip and TCS light on. The car stopped on its own with all of dashboard warning lights on. Brake, accelarator and steering wheel were hard and not moving, but engine was start. I turned off the engine. After 5 minutes I turned it on again all other lights off except TCS, SLIP and engine check. Car was moving very slowly with high RPM. Next day I started the car, Slip and TCS lights off, but engine light on with RPM 2000. The car was running itself and changing transmisson due to high RPM. I got it diagnosed next day from AutoZone. They said change only MAF sensor, i bought it, fixed it and went for a test drive, the car was giving 19 miles in city with AC on and ran like new from 4 years ago. And I was happy. Next day started the car, SLIP, TCS and engine check light were on again. Brake and steering wheel were hard and not moving. Then I went to the nissan dealership to get it diagnosed and they said to change the MAF sensor again. I bought it from there and changed it, next day it was raining I drove, but check engine light again came on.
I went to another garage and they only reset the warning light and said all the parts are changed maybe rain water is going into a somewhere electric wires or grips. Thats why Engine check light came on.
But after the light was reset even though the light didnt come on and it didnt go under rain, now I feel like the car is not running well, The warning light is off, but Its only giving me 13 mile in city without AC. And transmission changing gear at 1800 RPM.
I was completely exhausted, I talked to a mechanic online and I told him the whole situation and he said to buy wheel speed sensors, but I didn't change them yet.
After going to all these garages the tire air pressure light was still on. To maintain the tire air pressure, I saw that one tire didn't have the tire pressure sensor. I dont know which garage did that. I also bought those four sensors.
Everytime the TPMS light comes on, I noticed the car's RPM increases almost 100/200. Do they have a connection between them?
k) Again they said the fan of engine and AC are not working well and they told me to change them. I changed with new ones.
l) Engine light came on again, and they told me to change all the engine coolant.
m) Once again like before engine check light on, they said car battery is weak, so I changed with a new battery. Excide with 24F.
4. I spent a lot on this car, I changed a lot of things and its almost new. How can I sell this car when I spent so much on it, thats going to be a loss and my kids love this car as well. Now some garage owners told me sell the car. Maybe they want to buy it themselves. I'm again requesting please give me your precious advice.
It doesn't make sense to keep throwing good money after bad. It's past time to bail on that money pit.
