there is no best tire. Pick a reputable brand on sale, available to you locally with a good reviews and guarantees (pro-rated warranty, road hazard, etc.). Make sure it includes free mounting + balancing.

Depends on your use: city, highway, off road, snow, rain... what’s your typical range of driving conditions?

I live in Wisconsin mostly city driving

For your application in Wisconsin, where you will see light and occasional heavy snow, and even ice, the best of breed has to be:

Michelin Crossclimate 2

If you want something a little less expensive, look at the Vredestein Quatrack Pro.  You can order them at Tire Rack and have them delivered to your local shop (Discount  Tire has a deal with them).

😯 Indian tyres?

I would stay away. Last year they were raided for operating a cartel.

Fair enough. You always should check the origin of tires (which can vary even by size within a single model line). But I believe the quatrack Pro is made in Europe (Netherlands and Hungary). Anecdotally, we put quatrack 5’s on my daughter’s Crosstrek and they were good quality tires: balanced, quiet, grippy in snow... and good bang for the buck.
