Hey Scotti
I have been seeing videos with mechanics spraying starting fluid into tires loose on the rim and then lighting it off to seat the bead. I actually tried this on a snow blower tire and it worked but an automobile tire seems so much larger. Is this viable or just to dangerous to attempt?

What ever you do don't tell my wife. {black}
it works with some practice, and requires a bit of set up. Luckily, most of us will never get into this situation.
I say seat it regularly, I've seen sometime shops do this for rubber band tires just cause it's so much easier for then to seat a skinny on a wide tire (bad car culture) if anything a shot of compressed air tends to do the trick if it's being stubborn.
