Just bought a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring 4WD w/ upgraded ATF cooler 114,650 miles. No service history available. Think it's too late to change the trans fluid? Thanks.

so that we're on the same page: i have no clue if previous owner ever had the ATF changed

I saw that you did mention that. I don't see any reason not to change the fluid, and every reason that you should, in order for it to keep running. Has it been shifting poorly?

i just bought the car and have only driven probably 100mi so far. i wouldnt say it shifts poorly but it probably can be smoother...it has a slight jerk when it shifts but could be motor mount. no severe symptoms like noise or grinding. ive never driven a pilot or large suv before so i dont have much of a standard to measure against on shift smoothness. ive heard many people say that theres a certain point where changing the atf could be harmful if its never been changed before

no its not harmful
