Too much money for a 2004/2005 Chevy Suburban ?

Hey Scotty ! I’ve been looking at 2004/2005 Chevy Suburbans and the ones that look good seem to be going for $5,000 to $6,000 in my area (southern California) and even up to $7,500 or $8,000 if the miles are low. The only cheaper ones have all kinds of interior wear, paint fading and mechanical issues. I know that the ones made before 2007 are decently reliable but are they really worth that much money?

That seems way too high to me. Where are you looking?  I would try calling a few of them and get a feel for how much they come down. If they don’t go less than $4k then try out of state. The difference in price might be worth a plane ticket.

I live in California as well (Sacramento) and yes they are that expensive. 4-7k in my area. One's made before 2007 are reliable the newer ones are junk. Try looking at private owner craigslist around california if you don't mind coming a few hours. Usually bay area (Concord-Oakland-San Jose) have good deals on cars due to supply compared to LA and Sacramento.
