I have a 2020 highlander le v6 2 wheel drive 8 speed transmission. I will be towing a u-haul trailer about 1800 lbs gross weight. I cannot find information on what gear to drive in. Most of the older cars i have owned just say to turn off overdrive and you are good to go. I cannot fine that on the highlander. Should I manually shift gears and keep it in 6 gear. I will be going from Texas to Arizona and most of the driving will be highway.There is no information in the owners manual and I called Toyota customer service and they were no help.

1800 lbs isn't much considering it has a 5000 lb capacity. I think you would be just fine keeping it in auto and let it do its thing. Have a safe trip!
