I have a 2017 Toyota Camry LE, 2.5. liter 4 cyl engine. 39000 miles. When I turn the key to "accessory", a "check charging system" warning show on the multi information display. After the car is started, the warning goes away and everything seems fine. No battery light, no codes, and the car runs and drives fine. Battery shows proper voltage and alternator is charging. Is this a concern? If not, how do I reset the display.
Are you still on the original factory battery? If yes, I think it’s time to buy a new battery.
Load test the alternator & battery to check both.
Check to see if there is a charge light relay. They sometimes go bad and show a false warning light. It's usually on the drivers kick panel up under the dash. Toyota is notorious for this relay going bad.
