Dear Scotty,
I'm a proud owner of a red gen5 Toyota Celica 1991. When I bought the car the previous owner told me it had a new engine from an automatic Celica. The engine is EFI-S 1.8lt. On my last service we changed oil, oil filter, air filter. Since that the car has an idle of 1000rpm. The mechanic tried to fix that by putting a second spring on the injection thingy, but to now use. Now when I stop on a red light (now it's getting crazy) I have an idle of 1000rpm. I just throttle very light, and then it goes to normal 800rpm. What could it be ?

"Injection thingy" is a very technical term, do you have a simpler description? Have you looked up the idle setting procedure in the factory shop manual?
sounds like a sticky throttle.
