Toyota EFB battery

Topic starter

I have a 2018 Toyota Highlander that has the start/stop on it. My battery is 5 years old and I have been looking for a new one and ever where I look it says the EFB 24f will fit my car but then says it is not for start/stop systems. I read some places say to replace the EFB battery with a AGM battery and read other articles that say the charging system is not designed for AGM batteries and it will over charge them. I am not going to give Toyota $400 for a battery that doesn't even come close to the cold cranking amps of the after market ones. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. It is ridiculous that it is this difficult to buy a battery.

why do you need so many amps? Do you live in the Yukon?

The part number is 28800-31550, google that and you should be able to find one.
