Toyota egr

I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma pickup 2 wheel drive single cab with 190000 miles when I purchased the truck I had to replace the egr vacuum modulator exhaust manifold catalytic converter and all the hoses in order to get it to pass smog. And also I didn’t see it in the Manual but we put a check valve in also. Now not even less than 3 months go by and I am getting the same error codes  like before and a check engine light on. Checking the system a little bit some carb cleaner was sprayed into the vacuum modulator to clean would that damage the vacuum modulator at all? Or would it just evaporate? I tried using the Cable on the drill to clean out the lines it doesn’t seem to want to fit through the vacuum lines at all none of them. I need a thinner cable maybe what would you suggest???

Bro carb cleaner doesn't hurt any kind of rubber stuff you could try cleaning it that way if you can access the area sometimes I use small drill bits to push through any debris stuck in hoses or small areas
