I recently found a toyota highlander with 151k miles on it for 8500$ and a toyota camry 2011 with 120k miles for 6000$. Both have clean title, automatic and are in good condition and from private owners. Any opinion on what I should buy ? Or should I keep looking ?

The 3 most important things about a used Toyota in that price range are 1. Condition 2. Condition . 3. Condition.
Obviously, your money goes considerably further with a sedan - that $2500 could pay for a new set of tires, fresh battery, new brake pads, a detail job, the insurance for a few months, etc. Even if you don't need any of those now, that could be a nice "cushion" for the ups and downs of life these days.
