Need an opinion-Looking at the Toyota Highlander.  In 2023 Toyota dropped the 6 cylinder and only offer a 4 cylinder turbo going forward.  If I intend to keep a Highlander for at least 10 years and 100,000+ miles am I better off with a low mileage 2022 model than a 2023/2024 model with the 4 cylinder turbo.  Thinking longevity.  Appreciate any comments.

nobody knows, but based on what we know about turbocharged engines ... probably

I have a feeling you already know the answer to that.

Getting a new version of a car, even a Toyota, is a bit risky. Going from a reliable 6 cylinder to a Turbocharged 4, is certainly not going to help it's longevity.

I like Toyota, but I would not be getting a Turbocharged one until it had many years to bring to light any downsides, or to prove it's reliability.

For me, buying old and proven, is better than new and Risky.
