Hi I'm considering buying a toyota matrix, are there any years and/or models I should look out for with known issues. Watched scotty's video on the matrix and he mentioned some having computer issues but didn't exactly mention the years, also it claims to have a 4wd, is this awd(meaning always on) or a 4wd where I can engage and disengage it at will?
Also I'm mostly seeing 2003 - 2009 years fb marketplace. So my options might be locked within this range.

Also is the Pontiac vibe same as the matrix and will it be better to get that instead, cause it seems anything with a toyota badge increases it's price.
You want to stay away from the 09 Matrixes with the 2.4 liter engine, but most other years are pretty good

Okay thank you. I plan on getting the 1.8 liter engine for better gas mileage and less horsepower, I don't trust myself 😅
