Diagnosing inner or outer tie rod

Hi Scotty

I have an 05 honda accord coup 2.4l and I am trying to diagnose a tie rod issue.  When I jack the car up and wiggle the tire side to side, I get a clicking or popping noise.  The outer tie rod on the right front side is leaking grease from the ball joint so I know that needs to be replaced, but I am getting the clicking/popping noise on both sides when I wiggle the tire side to side.  How to I diagnose whether the inner tie rod also needs to be replaced as well?

I recently replace the lower control arm as the bushings were torn.  Is there any correlation to a bad control arm and tie rods going bad as well?

Thanks

Derik

If it pops, replace it.

And always get an alignment done after changing any of these parts (control arm, steering, etc.)
