Hey Scotty, are the Toyota mr2 spiders any good. I am looking at a 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder manual tranny with 122,600 miles with 2 owners. it is being sold by a private party (an old guy 78 years old) the guy said he changed the oil every 5,000 miles and was garage kept. I want an older fun reliable weekend car for zipping around. What are your thoughts? thanks

Yeah if not worn out those can be fun little toys. But is it with any older car I have a mechanic like me check it out before you buy you never know if it was flooded wreck things like that
As long as you aren't overpaying for it, they can be dependable and fun.
(Realize it's probably not as fun as a Miata, and the ZZ engine is less solid than the '05-up Miatas' DuraTec-HE.)
BUT it's definitely way cooler and unique.
Depends on price. I'm cheap and for that I'd pay $1500K at the most.
