Scotty what’s the best year of the Toyota Sequoia to buy.
Generally speaking the worst ones to buy are the beginning of the generation, and the best ones to buy are the end of the generation. And in between the beginning and the end are probably decent vehicles with most of the kinks worked out.
The Second Generation Sequoia has been around since 2007, and it seems the engine hasn’t changed since 2013. Since 2013, they seem to use the 3UR-FE engine exclusively in the Seqouia, which is also used in the Tundra, Land Cruiser, and Lexus LX.
While I don’t know the best year to buy, my search would probably focus on Seqouia‘s 2013 and up. Of course I would entertain other years, but a little more research would need to be done.
What were the problems the first generation had?
TMK, nothing of note. The only thing is it had timing belt instead of timing chains, just an additional maintenance item.
