Hey Scotty, huge fan. Iv been wanting a Toyota Tundra ever since I started following you and working on my own vehicles. I’m not a fan of dealerships but I found a 2003 Tundra TRD SR5 with 169,000 miles in really nice condition from the pictures, it’s Listed for $7900. Plan on looking at it soon and taking my scan tool with me, anything in particular I should be concerned with on that year tundra. V8 engine, 4.7 I believe. Thanks
Scotty said those engines have a timing belt. So you have to change the timing belt and the water pump because it's an interference engine. Check with the mechanic or scan tool. And check the titles. I think the price is decent. I would ask $5000 max to $6000 minimum.
They are great trucks but I'll let you know now that Toyota V8 engines are notorious for high maintenance and repair costs on larger items as they age. Haggle hard and have a mechanic check it out if interested.
i would crack his corns a bit on the price but give it a thourough go over. Watch for frame rot/cracks
