I was looking through my owner’s manual for my 1999 Lexus GS300, and I learned that it uses Automatic Transmission Fluid DEXRON II or III. I recently changed my automatic transmission fluid and have two unopened quarts of Toyota Type T-IV left.
Should I use the Toyota Type T-IV ATF for my power steering as well?
How do you know how much fluid to use when the owner’s manual is silent on fluid capacity?

Use the Dexron. Add as necessary to fill the reservoir until it is between the lines.
