TPMS retrofit Civic 2012

Hi Scotty,

I have a Canadian 2012 Honda Civic EX-L 72000 miles. Unfortunately due to the import laws in the US, I can't import it without putting in an OEM TPMS from the US version. Have you heard of anyone being able to this (2-3000 dollars)?

It looks like all it requires is to plug the TPMS control unit and set up the wheel sensors. Maybe the main computer has to be programmed to recognize it?

Thanks in advance

Well the hell is that nonsense you can go to Amazon and buy tire pressure monitoring kits that screw on the end of the valve stem externally and have a control module in the car that showed the tire pressure and those things cost less than a hundred bucks

From your lips to God's ears brother.
I tried that and the Customs officer told me no, and showed me the page where it says the aftermarket systems are not good enough.

Anyways any recommendations, I will try to talk to the dealer see what they say.
or my last choice would be to sell the thing and buy in the US (not a good option with current prices).

the auto lobbyists have ensured that the government keeps giving them business 😆
