My 2006 Corolla with 82,000 miles seems to have an idling problem. Could I have damaged the TPS when cleaning the throttle body. If so, can I reset the TPS using instructions I found online, or should I get a new one?
Thanks for the help.
What is the problem you are referring to?
It doesn't seem to slow down enough when I take my foot off the gas. Especially at low speeds. If I take my foot of the gas at around 25 mph, the car doesn't seem to slow down. Also, there is poor acceleration. When I step on the gas on highway ramps there is not enough power. The spark plugs only have 82,000 miles on them. They are Iridium so I don't think those would be bad yet. The problem is recent.
Yeah, the symptoms seem to be related throttle body. It's a good idea to try the relearn process first.
