I have an 06 civic with 151k. When I put it in gear (automatic) it feels like it wants to "GO" almost like a lunging/surging feeling. Other than that it seems to shift ok (no slipping or hard shifts) I cant pinpoint it other than it just doesn't feel right.
Any thoughts?

Sounds to me your auto is showing signs it’s about to retire permanently.

Drain out a bit of fluid and examine:Smells bad? Dark? Substantial metal in the fluids?
What's the drain-and-fill history?
