Topic starter
my dad has a 2004 Chevy suburban with an UNREALISTIC amount of electrical problems but that’s not the point. The point is that it has started slipping BAD so I offered to change the trans filter and gasket put the old fluid back in and put 1 quart Lucas trans stop slip is this a good idea and do you recommend anything else this is a last resort if it fails we will just junk it. Thanks
mileage? how did the fluid look?
About 230,000 and it’s dirty but not burnt

I think your plan is pretty solid, though at that age and mileage it is probably starting to go.
